--Female Red Winged Black Bird
This, to my surprise, is a female red-winged blackbird. As you can see, she looks considerably different than her male counter-part. Not surprising; however, (in retrospect), is the fact that I photographed her in close proximity to several male red-winged blackbirds at a nearby state park near water.
